Covid 19 Response

In light of significant challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and flood-related emergencies, the Trust has implemented a comprehensive disaster management strategy. This approach is specifically designed to protect public health and mitigate negative impacts on vulnerable populations within its operational districts.

Key actions include distribution of essential protective gear such as face masks, hand sanitizers, and personal protective equipment (PPE) prioritising populations like the elderly, frontline workers, and residents in high-risk zones. These efforts have helped to maximize protection and reduce transmission risks.

The Trust has also collaborated closely with local health authorities to strengthen COVID-19 testing and vaccination outreach, ensuring access even in remote areas. Hygiene support initiatives include installing handwashing stations and supplying hygiene kits to address sanitation challenges exacerbated by flooding and health crises.
