About Us
Dr. Gordon Memorial Trust remains committed to its vision of fostering socio-economic development without gender disparity, promoting health, education, culture, and environmental sustainability among Tamil Nadu’s rural poor communities through transparent, ethical, and impactful initiatives.
Founded in 2003 the Dr. Gordon Memorial Trust operates from its administrative office located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The Trust is committed to driving sustainable social transformation among marginalized populations within the districts of Thanjavur, Kancheepuram, and Chengalpattu. Its programs primarily target children, women in vulnerable circumstances, migrant communities, child labourers, widows, and single women.
The organization operates with a deep belief in the transformative potential of education and empowerment. Through targeted initiatives in remedial education, vocational training, healthcare awareness, and community development, the Trust aims to dismantle systemic poverty cycles and provide pathways to dignity and self-reliance.
Over nearly two decades, the Trust has built a robust framework addressing the nuanced needs of its beneficiary populations, combining grassroots outreach with sustainable development goals. The focus remains not only on immediate relief but on long-term community resilience.
